I keep going back and forth on this. I posted that I was taking a break...then a few weeks later removed that post. I'm back to that again. So for now, I'm officially taking a break indefinitely. I'm still sewing, crafting, decorating, etc. Just on a much smaller scale and mostly for myself and for gifts. I have an embroidery machine and am enjoying "monogramming" for people. I will continue to do that. It doesn't require much time! :) I am really enjoying focusing on my home and 3 boys and husband right now.
If you want to know how to make anything on this blog, let me know and I will show you! :)

I love the nap mat covers and am curious what type of closure you have on the cover. Also, is the actual nap mat a "kinder mat" or something else? I made a cover for my daughter's mat this year, but am looking for ways to improve for next year.
I used sew-on velcro for the closure. Iron-on tends to not stay put after extended use. I use a kinder mat from Wal-Mart. Good luck! let me know if you have any more questions. :)
I was going to order a nap mat from you before KDO starts back in the fall, but I see that I'll have to see if someone else can make one for me instead. I may be emailing you with questions!
Hey Sara - well, I'm so happy that you dropped in at the Cottage Child. I hope your hiatus from the business side of your life is restful and that you enjoy the heck out of your family. (Your pieces are adorable, by the way!)
I hope we'll get to visit again soon! So nice meeting you.
Sara,
Do you use the 1" think kinder mats or the 2" thick ones? All Wal-Mart has right now is the 1", and I wasn't sure if that looked thick enough.
I use the 1 inch ones. The 2 inch ones are a little hard to manage...you know when you're carrying in all that other junk...lunch box, back pack, etc. :)
